| The Bow Valley Kayak Club had its first course Jan 14-16/05. It was a session for beginner - advanced youth coached by Saskia van Mourik. Sessions were in the Canmore pool and at the race course on the Kananaskis River. 18 kids participated, from Medicine Hat, Calgary and Canmore. With day-time highs below -18° for weeks prior to Sunday, the warmer weather caught the paddlers by surprise... there were numerous complaints about being too hot! |
